FPL Gameweek 7 Tips

FPL gameweek 7 tips & strategy

I have to say this is the most challenging FPL season ever. There is no consistency at all in the results we are seeing and there is no way we can rely on any statistical data to prepare our teams. A far better approach would be the eye test, since it is not actually a test but a tool. The ‘test’ is knowledge of football, and two people can watch the same thing but only one comes out with the right conclusion due to insight and experience, and honestly we watch every match out there every gameweek, and these are the players we provide you this week, to consider or to not consider at all.

Players to Watch for Gameweek 7

Harry Kane and Son Heung Min

Harry Kane and Heung-min Son are unarguably the Premier League’s deadliest duo at the moment, and they both have nine goals in between them. Spurs play a game where it is absolutely necessary to play through Kane, and the wingers benefit from that a lot. The understanding and coordination between the duo is unbeatable at the moment and they are must haves in your team.

Ollie Watkins

The Aston Villa forward has not been at his best since the hat trick against Liverpool but this could be a week where things change for him. Southampton is known for playing a high defensive line similar to Liverpool and we all saw how efficient he proved against the Premier League Champions.

Romain Saiss

The Wolves man is the top scoring defender of the season and provides attacking and defensive returns to the managers who trust him. Wolves are slowly turning into a pretty stable defensive team like they were in the past, and Saiss would be able to keep the threat of Crystal Palace wingers to a minimum while going ahead and threatening their defenders every time he is on the ball.

Sam Johnstone

West Brom are definitely not the best team when it comes to defensive records this season but they could definitely turn the tables around this week when they face a Fulham side which has scored only a single goal in their last three home outings. Johnstone is pretty comfortable in the air too so the threat of Mitrovic is already low.

Phil Foden

The Man City midfielder has created nine chances this season and he is a constant goal threat in the box. He could be the catalyst that could cause all sorts of problems for the struggling Sheffield United side and could prove to be a really good budget option with high attacking returns.

Players to Avoid for Gameweek 7

Pierre Aubameyang

The Arsenal captain has not been at his best since the start of the season, and if you still have him in your team, it would be a good time to rotate him out for someone more cost efficient like Pulisic. Manchester United are coming off a great UCL win and with momentum on their side, things might get ugly for Arsenal.

Michail Antonio

The West Ham star won’t be featuring against Liverpool this week as he is facing an injury problem. It is not really serious so you should not look to take a hit to transfer him out, as he would be definitely back next week.

Captain Pick for Gameweek 7

The duo of Kane and Son is the obvious answer again but Salah is the dark horse this week. There are so many news reports regarding Mane outshining him in recent gameweeks but whenever that happens, Salah comes out eager to take the match ball home, and with West Ham missing the threat of Antonio, he would be a lot more comfortable upfront on the pitch with less defensive duties.
