We are finally into double digit gameweeks and this could be the time when things change a lot. Manchester City finally have easier fixtures coming up while things get difficult for Tottenham Hotspurs. The return of Liverpool assets could also prove to be a big debate this week. We will walk you through the best players to have in your team and the players you should avoid at any cost!
Players to Consider:
João Cancelo (5.5):
Cancelo has created more chances than any other defender in the last four gameweeks. Burnley are a really defensive team that like to stay behind and go on quick counters but in my personal opinion, it would be a task too big for them to score against Manchester City this week. Cancelo would most probably return a clean sheet and would also be a threat going forward.
Max Kilman (4.3):
Kilman is one of the best defensive options available and only costs a meagre 4.3 currently. He faces an Arsenal squad that has scored only once in the last five league games and considering how strong Wolves are defensively themselves, it is highly unlikely their luck would change.
Kevin De Bryune (11.6):
Burnley has always struggled against Manchester City, especially at Etihad, and with KdB the main playmaker for the citizens, you can expect everything to go through him this week. Burnley would stay compact and look to have as many players in their own halve whenever they can, but KdB can create a goal out of nowhere and I am really optimistic about his chances.
Jamie Vardy (10.2):
Vardy has been on fire this season, but had a difficult game at Anfield last week, and he would be looking to turn it around as soon as possible. Fulham is one of the worst teams when it comes to conceding goals this season and Vardy is leading the league in shots on target currently. You can definitely rely on Vardy to test Fulham’s defence for the ninety minutes they come face to face.
James Justin (4.8):
The Leicester City full back could be in for a huge point overhaul this week as they face a very weak Fulham side. Fulham are not only struggling defensively but also fail to create anything upfront which could mean returns at both ends of the pitch for the Foxes.
Player to Avoid:
Mohamed Salah (12.2):
There’s still no guarantee he’ll play against Brighton as he is coming back from quarantine after suffering from COVID-19. If Salah plays then he will be definitely in for a big return week as Tariq Lamptey is out after receiving a red card last week but the big question is if Klopp wants to play him immediately after going through two very difficult weeks.
Jamie Vardy is the obvious choice this week as he faces a really woeful Fulham side but if you are looking to change things up, Bruno Fernandes could also prove to be a really good option despite Southampton being a decent team. Bruno has always gave big returns in away games since his arrival at Old Trafford and I don’t see why it would change suddenly.
